How to set up Gmail delegation
This video guide will show you how to provide someone with delegation access to an email account.
If you manage a departmental shared mailbox, you can invite coworkers to become delegates of that email account. This is more secure than sharing passwords and also will make it easier to manage Multifactor Authentication, which should be handled by the mail departmental shared account manager.
In the video below, "Meredith" represents the main account holder and while she is using a personal account, the same process applies for the manager of a shared departmental mailbox (e.g., library@oxy.edu, hr@oxy.edu, helpdesk@oxy.edu, etc).
