How to Convert an ADP File to MDB
ADP and MDB files are two types of database files created by Microsoft Access 97, 2000, 2002 and 2003. ADP files are the SQL data files, while MDB files contain Access project information about the set of ADP files that are contained within the Access project. If you have an ADP file and Microsoft Access on hand, you can convert the ADP file to an MDB file through a simple Access operation.
- Open Microsoft Access.
- Click “File,” then click “Open,” then click on the ADP file that you want to convert.
- Click “File,” then click “Share” then click the “Save Database As” button.
- Select the “Access Database” file type, then type in the name you want the MDB file to have.
- Click the “Save” button and the MDB file is created and saved to the computer.
