Turning on Bitlocker Encryption

Bitlocker helps protect your data against offline attacks by encrypting your hard drive. To enable Bitlocker on your Windows 11 computer, follow the steps below. Before you start, make sure to save any of your unsaved work, as your computer will restart during this process.

1. In the Windows search bar, type enablebitlocker and click to run the installer

2. Click YES when prompted on screen, then hit enter when prompted in the command window.

3. Once Bitlocker is enabled, hit enter again to restart your computer.

Once your computer has restarted, Bitlocker will be turned on for your computer!
